When I was in college, I was fascinated with the legend of Atlantis. I remember buying some paperbacks dealing with the issue after my classes in the 80’s. It was one of the “in” topics at that time, the others being the so-called ancient astronauts theories and paranormal topics. The unanswered questions dealing with those topics increased my interest in pursuing truths that lie beyond the ordinary.
According to Plato’s account, which was based on Egyptian records, the lost island of Atlantis was situated beyond the Pillars of Hercules. Plato said Atlantis existed about 9,000 years before his own time, thus dating its last existence to roughly around 10,000 B.C. Atlantis was supposedly submerged to the bottom of the ocean in a great flooding cataclysm, destroying its flourishing civilization that was apparently much older than the Greek or Egyptian civilizations. Some researchers tried to find the possible location of the lost island. They tried looking for it in the Atlantic Ocean which, in the perspective of the Mediterranean coast dwellers, lies beyond the Pillars of Hercules that they interpret as Gibraltar.
Some even dived off the coast of North Bimini Island in the Bahamas to analyze submerged limestone blocks that some interpreted as probably man-made structures from the ruins of Atlantis. I have some reservations on that because, as a geologist, I understand that nature can also produce regular rectangular blocks from different sets of parallel jointing in the bedrock. Other researchers postulate that Atlantis is probably the Minoan civilization in an island off southern Greece that was submerged to the bottom of the sea due to a massive volcanic eruption in ancient times. However, all past efforts failed to find any conclusive evidence pointing to the location of the actual submerged Atlantis.
But the mere mention of the words “pillar” and “Hercules” should already give us a clue on what the ancients were up to. A pillar was often used by the ancients as a metaphor for the Tree of Life, which in turn is a metaphor for the human mind column. Hercules, on the other hand, is a personification of the concept of the human seat of consciousness or what we commonly call the human spirit.
Thus, the Atlantis story is obviously an allegory formulated by wise ancient Egyptians to refer to a lost rules-based virtual world built by the mind column during the evolutionary mega-cycle that preceded our present mega-cycle of evolution. That world was destroyed by flooding or submergence in “water”, which is a metaphorical way of saying that the end of that mega-cycle was marked by flooding by the surrounding ocean of singularity (chaos), dissolving the mind column that built that reality world. All the spirits that evolved during that mega-cycle survived, took a very long rest during a “Night of Brahma”, waited for the reconstitution of the mind column during the start of our new “Day of Brahma”, and then many of the mentally highly-evolved ones were re-born in our present physical reality starting around 10,000 B.C. The latter beings recorded their memories of their lost world during the time of the early Egyptian civilization, some information of which were passed on to Plato who then called that lost world “Atlantis”.
As such, no ruins of Atlantis will ever be found anywhere on earth because the previous location of such civilization was not on our present Earth. Some writers have rightly postulated in a way, based on the alignments of the Egyptian pyramids and the Sphinx with adjustments in accordance with the precession of the Earth’s axis, that a lost civilization existed around 10,500 B.C. – almost the same estimate as that cited by Plato for Atlantis. I have read books written by Robert Bauval and Graham Hancock about the topic.
Well, it is actually not that simple. The lost civilization that they are postulating ended much much earlier than that, and not here on earth. What marks around 10,000 B.C. was the start of the appearance on earth en masse of “gods” or intellectually advanced beings being born by human mothers, just like ordinary babies. But those special children later exhibited extraordinary mental capabilities, as they had not lost the memories of their knowledge brought down from above their mind columns, including memories of their lost civilization. Ordinary human beings, when they are born on earth, temporarily lose their memories of their past before birth, which is normal because our lower minds are programmed to erase such memories so that they would not unduly interfere with our new lives.
Those advanced beings are mentioned in the Bible (Genesis 6 – Giants in the Land):
1-2. When the human race began to increase, with more and more daughters being born, the sons of God noticed that the daughters of men were beautiful. They looked them over and picked out wives for themselves.
4. This was back in the days (and also later) when there were giants in the land. The giants came from the union of the sons of God and the daughters of men. These were the mighty men of ancient lore, the famous ones.
Those advanced beings or “sons of God” were not necessarily giants in terms of physical body, but they were giants in terms of their minds and spiritual will. But it is also likely that because ordinary men provided daily offerings of abundant and nourishing foods to those ruling “sons of God”, then after many successive generations over thousands of years, those “gods/goddesses” became physically healthier, taller and bigger compared to ordinary humans who had to fend for themselves. Furthermore, the incarnations of those advanced spirits in the bodies of savage men likely helped quickly evolve the circuitry of the human brain so that it could express modern intellect and complex speech. By around 4,000 B.C., humans could already write in a complex way and had began building relatively large settlements. Those intellectually advanced beings were the architects of Egypt’s Giza pyramids and Sphinx, as well as many of the gigantic ancient monuments all over the world.
By the way, the “Night of Brahma” is a very long period of inactivity (or rest) for all spirits in the spiritual world. During this period, all mind columns were dissolved and all information gathered during the concluded period of activity (Day of Brahma) are stored in the spirits themselves. When the next “Day of Brahma” is set to begin, the spirits start reconstituting their respective mind columns by expelling part of their own spirit matter into the ocean of chaos (singularity) below the spiritual world. The commingling of spirit matter and chaos matter eventually reconstitutes the mind which is now ready to begin building virtual realities. Each human spirit is then separated from its respective main spirit and sent down the depths of the mind column’s interior. There, we experience the various realities built by the mind column, which actually make us grow through mental processing of low-grade information into high-grade information.
