Decoding the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse

The Book of Revelation is a treasure trove of the hidden knowledge that we can mine productively if we have the proper mental training to decode them.  I can only analyse some of the verses so that I can show the way of doing it, but it is the future generations who will eventually unlock most of the knowledge contained therein.  The book is full of symbolism and metaphors that contain knowledge about the human constitution, human origin and destiny, the structure of the mind, the seat of consciousness, and the laws that operate in this reality and beyond.  The author of the book clearly had access to higher spiritual knowledge that was not available to the general population.

 

Revelation Chapter 6 describes the following four horses of the Apocalypse:

The White Horse

Revelation 6:1-2   “And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.  And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”

Discussion:

Horses were often used by the wise ancients to symbolize the various vehicles that the human spirit uses to build virtual worlds and/or allow it to virtually manifest and interact within those various realities.

The symbolism of the white horse represents the higher mind of a human being. The whiteness is a metaphor for the high percentage of spiritual matter composing the higher mind.  The crown is also a symbolism that I have mentioned in a previous post about the “woman clothed with the sun”.  The crown represents higher knowledge, including lofty spiritual knowledge.  The bow of the rider also represents the higher spiritual knowledge that the person possesses. The bow is considered as a “glorified weapon” because it sends forth a flying arrow. A person with an active or awakened higher mind is a prolific thinker, and he is therefore internally powerful, and will conquer ignorance and spiritual stagnation. 

Pegasus, the winged horse in Greek mythology, was also depicted as white because it symbolizes the limited “thinker” aspect of the human lower mind that was actually originally part of the higher mind. This “thinker” fragment was brought down by the human spirit to the depths of the lower mind in order to serve as a very useful tool during his long voyage to these dark corners of his own mind column. It will serve him well until he is able to awaken his higher mind which is a much more powerful thinking tool that will enable him to finally extricate himself and find his way back home.

The Red Horse

Revelation 6:3-4  “And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”

Discussion:

The red horse represents the “beast” aspect of the lower mind, hosting the programs that produce such dark passions as fear, greed, sorrow, hate, jealousy, arrogance, lust, envy, anger, vanity, and pride.  The human spirit that rides on these programs has the power to take peace from the earth, meaning he can create troubles, destruction, loss of lives and properties, conflicts, and mayhem.  When these passions hijack the thinking aspect of the human mind and the knowledge it commands, they often cause people to kill each other.  The “great sword” therefore represents high knowledge that was used by this “beast” to produce mayhem and destruction in this physical world.  An example of such dark passion is the hatred that Hitler had for the Jews that caused him to kill millions of people.  Another example is the vanity, pride, and misguided idealism of Stalin that caused the starvation and death of millions of Eastern Europeans.  The color red or scarlet is often associated with passions and dangers, as indicated in such phrases as “red with anger” or “red flag”.

The Black Horse

Revelation 6:5-6  “And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see.  And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see you hurt not the oil and the wine.”

Discussion:

The black horse represents the lower mind itself.  The color black is a metaphor for ignorance and lack of spiritual light coming from high up the mind column.  The rider of this horse holding a pair of balances in his hand, represents the human spirit who is temporarily residing in this lower segment of his mind column that is subject to the Law of Balance, particularly what the Buddhists call the Law of Cause and Effect (Law of Karma).  Because the lower mind, which builds this virtual physical reality and those unpleasant “underworld” realities, forces us to do many interactions with each other and with the world around us, those actions and the thoughts associated with them have many karmic ramifications that will be recorded, accounted for, and balanced sooner or later.  Not only bad karma, but also good karma will be rewarded in kind and in exactly same weight.

The Pale Horse

Revelation 6:7-8  “And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.  And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell (Hades) followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”

Discussion:

The pale horse represents the human physical body.  The pale color means feeble, unimpressive, and having little color.  This describes the virtual nature of the physical human body.  In short, it is not real.  The name of the rider of this pale horse is Death, meaning if a human spirit incarnates in a physical body, physical death will be inevitable for him.  And being stranded in Hades (hell) will follow after his physical death if that person has led a criminal life or a life filled with dark passions, actions, and thoughts.  Human physical bodies have the power to kill with sword, have the power to alleviate their hunger for food, have the power to evade death in some circumstances, and have the power over the animals on earth.

The Fifth Seal

Revelation 6:9-11  “And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, do you not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?   And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”

Discussion: The knowledge revealed here is apparently about advanced spirits from their home realities high up the mind column who were sent down (incarnated) to the physical world in order to accomplish certain missions, such as imparting knowledge to humanity.  They suffered a lot during their missions, with some of them even getting killed.  When they returned to the higher realms, they were given again “white robes”, which are metaphors for lofty virtual bodies in their particular rules-based home reality built by the higher mind.  After completing their missions on earth, they rested in that blissful virtual world of the higher mind, the true home of the thinking mind.  The phrase “fellow servants and brethren” refers to their fellow members of the fellowship of advanced spirits that help in the administration of this present evolutionary mega-cycle, who suffer and experience physical death during their various missions in the physical world.

This metaphor is similar in meaning to the metaphor of Jacob’s Ladder that connects heaven and earth, as told in the Bible’s Genesis 28:10-19, wherein angels are seen ascending and descending on it in Jacob’s dream while he was asleep.  This ladder represents the mind column wherein advanced spirits can go up and down between heaven in the higher mind and earth in the lower mind.
